Ukraine appreciates its cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which is our important partner in developing strategic investment projects, President Viktor Yanukovych said at a meeting with EBRD President Thomas Mirow.

One of the most important projects implemented by Ukraine and the EBRD the President called the Chornobyl NPP Shelter, which is important for ensuring security of the whole Eastern Europe. "I would like to personally thank you for this cooperation," said Viktor Yanukovych.

President Yanukovych also drew attention to the successful implementation of projects in the area of infrastructure and energy sector, such as nuclear energy and hydropower. "These are the projects creating the conditions for economic development of Ukraine," he said.

Viktor Yanukovych thanked Thomas Mirov for his personal contribution into the development of relations between Ukraine and the EBRD. "I would like to thank you for your continued interest in Ukraine and the opportunity to discuss the state and prospects of our future cooperation," he said.
