Ukraine and Russia will continue developing their strategic partnership, President Viktor Yanukovych said during a discussion with Aleksander Kwasniewski at the 8th Ukrainian Lunch "Options for the future” in Davos. "Ukraine has had and, I am sure, will have strategic partnership with Russia. We are old partners, we have a lot of questions of mutual interest," said Viktor Yanukovych.
The President drew attention to the growth of trade turnover between our countries, which reached almost $ 50 billion in 2011. "We will continue optimizing our trade and economic relations," he said.
The President stressed that Ukraine will be build its relations with Russia on equal terms.
When asked about Ukraine's intentions to participate in regional structures, such as EAEC, Viktor Yanukovych replied that our state will be guided exclusively by its national interests in this area.
