On 29 March - 4 April 2012 the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body to draft a protocol on illicit trade in tobacco products to the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) is held in Geneva.

At its second session in July 2007 the Conference of the Parties to the WHO FCTC decided to establish an Intergovernmental Negotiating Body. The INB held its first session in Geneva in February 2008, followed by its second session in October 2008. The third session of the INB took place in June 2009 and the fourth in March 2010. It was decided that the current session would be the final one.

The delegation of Ukraine to the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body is represented by experts of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN Office in Geneva.
