On May 25 17th session of the World Meteorological Congress began its work in Geneva and will continue activities till June 12, 2015.
The supreme body of World Meteorological Organization (WMO), which assembles delegates once every four years, is to update general areas of Organization's functioning, consider the status of implementation of top WMO priorities, adopt relevant regulatory documents, approve budget for the next financial period (2016-2019), as well as elect heads and members of WMO’s constitutional bodies, etc.
This year’s Congress is being attended by delegations from more than 180 WMO Member States and observers, international organizations, non-governmental institutions, independent experts and academics.
The Ukrainian side is represented at the forum by the experts of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center and staff members of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine in Geneva.
