Today, on May 18,2015 the Sixty-eights session of the World Health Assembly began its work in Palais des Nations in Geneva.
The Assembly is considering a number of pressing issues in health sector, such as prevention and control of virus and non-communicable diseases, creating sustainable health systems, areas of concern related to health care and environment, development of global health strategies on HIV care and control for 2016-2021 etc. Particular attention is being paid to the Ebola fever deadly virus situation and the topic of reforming the World Health Organization to adequately confront the new challenges.
Upon the results of the Assembly a number of decisions and resolutions will be adopted.
The participation of Ukraine in the Session, which will continue till May 26, 2015, is ensured by the representatives of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine in Geneva.
