On 15November 2013, during a working visit to Geneva, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Mr. Oleg Proskuriakov met Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Mr. Sven Alkalaj.

The officials discussed the topical issues of cooperation under the terms of the Espoo Convention, in particular a preparation to the forthcoming 6^th Meeting of the Parties to be held in Kiev in June 2014, and determined perspective ways of cooperation between Ukraine and UNECE in the environmental area.

Minister also took part in the third meeting of the Working Group on Environmental Impact Assessment and Strategic Environmental Assessment.
