The UNCTAD Expert Meeting on Transport, Trade Logistics and Trade Facilitation has been taking place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva from 22 to 24 October 2013. The main issue, discussed during the meeting, was "Transport and logistics innovation towards the review of the Almaty Programme of Action in 2014".

The progress made in the facilitation of transit transport systems functioning in developing and landlocked countries was discussed during this expert meeting. Participants discussed new methods of quantity evaluation of logistics activity effectiveness within the transit transport corridors and peculiarities of management and technological progress in the area of port logistics.

 The participation of Ukraine in the work of the session was provided by the delegation from the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine headed by                           Mr. K.Savchenko, the deputy director of infrastructure and tourism development policy coordination Department.
