The seventeenth session of the Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group commenced its work in Geneva’s Palais des Nations on 21 October 2013. UPR serves as a key mechanism of the Council that regularly reviews all the UN Member States’ commitments in the sphere of human rights.

Agenda of the session includes reviews of the following 15 countries: Saudi Arabia, Senegal, China, Nigeria, Mexico, Mauritius, Jordan, Malaysia, Central African Republic, Monaco, Belize, Chad, Israel, Congo and Malta.

The delegation of Ukraine represented by the Permanent Mission of Ukraine in Geneva participates in the work of the session.
