Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryschenko who is on his working visit to Geneva (2-4 October 2013) met with Director-General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Francis Gurry.
Mr. Gryschenko outlined general features of the system of the intellectual property protection in Ukraine, touched upon recent achievements and future endeavours of the country in the field.
Director-General highly appreciated the work of Ukraine, especially in recent years, and reassured the Ukrainian part in further provision of all necessary professional backup to national specialists. He also congratulated Ukraine on the acquisition by the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine of the status of International Searching Authority and Intellectual Preliminary Examining Authority pursuant to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
