2-4 October 2013 Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Konstantyn Gryshchenko is visiting Geneva to sign the Agreement between Ukraine and the European Organization for Nuclear Research regarding the status of associate member (CERN).
Within the framework of the visit on 2 October Konstantin Gryshchenko held meetings with the Executive Director of the Global Fund for AIDS, TB and malaria Mark Dybul and the Executive Director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Mr Michel Sidibé.
Bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the Global Fund and UNAIDS were discussed during the meetings.
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine informed of the measures taken by the Government of our country to overcome such dangerous diseases as HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.
Leaders of the Global Fund and the UNAIDS positively noted Ukraine's progress in addressing HIV/AIDS. It was emphasized that Ukraine can become a leader in the region in this regard.
