The Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) for the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) holds its second session from 22 April to 03 May 2013 at the United Nations Office in Geneva under the Chairmanship of Ambassador Cornel Feruta of Romania.

The purpose of the PrepCom is to prepare for the Review Conference in terms of assessing the implementation of each article of the NPT in all of its 3 pillars (nuclear disarmament, non-proliferation and peaceful uses of nuclear energy), promoting the achievement of 2010 NPT Action Plan, as well as facilitating discussion among States with a view to making recommendations to the Review Conference.

The delegation of Ukraine is headed by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Office and international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Mykola Maimeskul. It includes experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate as well as from the Secretariat of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
