The fifteenth session of the Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group commenced its work in Geneva’s Palais des Nations on 21 January 2013. UPR serves as a key mechanism of the Council that regularly reviews all the UN Member States’ commitments in the sphere of human rights.

Agenda of the session includes reviews of 14 countries: France, Tonga, Romania, Mali, Botswana, Bahamas, Burundi, Luxembourg, Barbados, Montenegro, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Liechtenstein and Serbia.

The delegation of Ukraine represented by the Permanent Mission of Ukraine in Geneva participates in the work of the session.
