On the 5th December 2012, the 7st Session of the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Integration of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe has started its two-days work in Geneva, in which are participating delegations of the country Members and representatives of international economic and financial organizations both intergovernmental and non-governmental as well as those of the science from various countries.
During the first-day work within the Substantive Segment of the 7st Session of the Committee the Innovation Performance Review of Ukraine prepared by independent international experts with close participation of Ukrainian specialists will be discussed.
It is also planned that during the Committee session the two initiatives in the area of Public-Private Partnership concerning the elaboration of guidance on implementation of public-private partnership mechanisms in countries with economy in transition and the creation under the aegis of UNECE of International center of excellence for public-private partnership.
Moreover, the delegations of country Members will sum up the results of the work of the Committee for 2012 and will approve its work programme for the year 2013.
The experts of the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Information of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the National Academy of Science of Ukraine and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN Office in Geneva participate in the annual session of the Committee.
