On October 26-28, 2015 the 37th meeting of the Coordinating Board of the United Nations Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) is taking place in Geneva.

Reference: Ukraine is the PCB Bureau Rapporteur for the year 2015 together with Zimbabwe (Chair) and Switzerland (Vice-Сhair).

The draft updated and extended UNAIDS 2016-2021 Strategy was adopted in the course of the event.

The meeting is focused on the approval of the draft UNAIDS 2016-2021 Unified Budget, Results and Accountability Framework; the current state of the fight against HIV/AIDS in the UN Post-2015 Development Agenda; follow-up to the thematic segment from the 36th PCB meeting; HIV in prisons and other closed settings etc.

This year’s thematic segment is devoted to the theme: “Shared responsibility and global solidarity for an effective, equitable and sustainable HIV response for the post-2015 agenda”.

The participation of Ukraine in the meeting is ensured by the representatives of the Ukrainian Center for Socially Dangerous Disease Control of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine as well as the Permanent Mission of Ukraine in Geneva.
