On June 9-12, 2015 the 140th session of the Working Party on Customs Questions affecting Transport of the Inland Transport Committee of the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) is taking place in Geneva.
Participants of the session are discussing the today's status of various international legal instruments in the area of transport and international trade, including the Customs Convention on the International Transport of Goods under Cover of TIR Carnets (TIR Convention, 1975), the International Convention on the Harmonization of Frontier Controls of Goods of 1982, the International Convention to Facilitate the Crossing of Frontiers for Passengers and Baggage carried by Rail of 1952, the Customs Conventions on the Temporary Importation of Private Road Vehicles of 1954 and Commercial Road Vehicles of 1956, as well as proposals concerning amendments to them.
It is also expected that the Working Party will review and adopt its programme of work for 2016-2017.
The experts from the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the Association of International Road Carriers of Ukraine as well as representatives from the Permanent Mission of Ukraine in Geneva participate in the 140th session of the Working Party.
