On October 22-23, 2014 the 9^th session of the Ad Hoc Group of Experts on Coal Mine Methane of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe is taking place in Geneva.

Participants of the session are discussing  an up-to-day state of relevant changes related to challenges and opportunities in coal mine methane management in country Members. The issue on the establishment of an International Centre of Excellence on Coal Mine Methane is also considered.

The experts of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, the Donetsk Coal Mining Research Institute  as well as representatives of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine in Geneva participate in the session.
