On September 2, 2014 the meeting of Y.Klymenko, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Office in Geneva with C.F.Bach, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) took place, during which the letter by P.Sheremeta, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine with congratulations on the occasion of C.F.Bach's appointment to the mentioned post was handed over.
The topical issues of bilateral economic cooperation have been discussed. In this context, the positive experience of the implementation in our state of such UNECE projects as "Innovation Performance Review of Ukraine" and "Country Profile on the Housing Sector of Ukraine" has been highlighted. The mutual inclination for deepening of Ukraine-UNECE interaction, in particular in the areas of energy, transport and environmental protection, has been expressed.
Permanent Representative Y.Klymenko has emphasized the importance of further due consideration in the UNECE activities of the status of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, which was perceived with understanding by the UNECE Executive Secretary.
