On July 31, 2014 in the Palais Wilson, Geneva, Mr. Yurii Klymenko, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine, and Ms. Navanethem Pillay, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, signed the Agreement between the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Government of Ukraine concerning the deployment of a short-term UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU).

During the meeting held within the framework of the signing ceremony the signatories discussed matters of Ukraine-OHCHR cooperation, particularly in the context of preparation for the 27^th session of the UN Human Rights Council (September 2014), as well as some topical issues related to the HRMMU activities.
