On April 30, 2014 the 5^th session of the Expert Group on Resource Classification of the Committee on Sustainable Energy of the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) started its three-day work in Geneva.

Participants of the meeting will discuss the Terms of reference and rules of procedure for the Expert Group on Resource Classification, as well as potential types of the use of the United Nations Framework Classification for Fossil Energy and Mineral Reserves and Resources 2009.

Delegations of member countries will sum up the results of the Expert group's activities in 2012-2013 and will agree upon the recommended Plan of work for the years 2013–2014.

 The representatives from the State Commission of Ukraine on Mineral Resources and from the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN Office in Geneva participate in the session of the Expert group.
