On ebruary 27, 2014 a coalition of the majority of deputies’ factions “European Choice” was formed in the Parliament of Ukraine (Verkhovna Rada), which comprises 250 parliamentarians.
Arseniy YATSENIUK was approved by the Verkhovna Rada as the Prime Minister of Ukraine (the decision was supported by 371 people’s deputies).
A personal composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was also endorsed:

In addition, upon the recommendation of Oleksandr TURCHYNOV, Acting President of Ukraine and the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Parliament of Ukraine appointed Andrii DESHCHYTSIA as acting Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (voted by 322 MPs) and Ihor TENYUKH as acting Minister of Defence of Ukraine (voted by 326 MPs).
The Parliament of Ukraine approved by 294 votes the Government's Action Program.
Among its priorities there are, in particular:
- preservation of the territorial integrity and unity of our state;
- normalization of the economic situation therein;
- prompt commencing of the negotiations with the international financial institutions to obtain resources from the IMF, EU and other international entities;
- holding fair and transparent Presidential elections in Ukraine.
European integration was declared as the key objective of the foreign policy of Ukraine. That primarily involves signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, including the creation of a deep and comprehensive free trade area, as well as the introduction of the visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens.
