On February 25 Mr. Yurii Klymenko,  Permanent Representative of Ukraine met with Mr. Nicolas Niemtchinow, Permanent Representative of France to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva.

An exchange of views on the topical issues of bilateral interaction in the framework of the international organizations based in Geneva, first of all, Human Rights Council, in the context of the preparation of its 25^th session (March 3-28, 2014), took place.

Special attention was paid to the situation in Ukraine. In this regard Y.Klymenko positively appraised the contribution of the French side into the settlement of the political crisis in Ukraine. He informed about the steps of the Ukrainian leadership aimed at final stabilization of situation in the country, the processes of creating a new parliamentary majority and formation of a government of national trust. Moreover, the importance of further progress in the European integration of Ukraine was stressed upon.
