On February 20 Mr. Yurii Klymenko, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine met with Mr. Hanns Schumacher, Permanent Representative of Germany to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva.

An exchange of views on the topical issues of bilateral interaction in the framework of the international organizations based in Geneva, first of all, Human Rights Council, in the context of the preparation of its 25^th session to be held on March 3-28, 2014, took place. Moreover, the possibility of cooperation to ensure effective Ukraine's membership in the Coordinating Board of the Joined United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) was explored.

Special attention was paid to the internal political situation in Ukraine, in particular, the necessity of its early peaceful settlement. The prospects of European integration of Ukraine were also considered.
