On February 14 Mr. Yurii Klymenko, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine, with the participation of Mr. Volodymyr Baluta, the Deputy Representative of Ukraine to the World Trade Organization (WTO), met with Mr.Roberto Azevedo, the Director-General of the WTO.

The current issues of Ukrainian-WTO interaction were discussed, in particular in the context of realization of the package of arrangements, adopted at the WTO Ninth Ministerial Conference on Bali. In this juncture Y.Klymenko highlighted the importance of the Trade Facilitation Agreement’s soonest entering into force. The Parties declared for deepening of a dialogue between Ukraine and the WTO regarding the implementation of the Bali package and finalizing the Doha Development Round in general.

Attention was also paid to the state and prospects of the consideration of Ukraine's application concerning the modification of its tariff commitments undertaken by our state while entering the WTO.
