On February 12, 2014 the 8^th session of the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Integration of the  Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) started its three-day work in Geneva.

Election of officers of the Committee took place at the beginning of the session. Mr. S.Kedmi, Chief Executive Officer of the company "Demeter Group International"  was elected as its Chairman for the year 2014.

Within the High-level substantive segment of the session participants are discussing issues of the emerging landscape for innovation and public private partnership financing and the Innovation Performance Review of Armenia prepared by independent international experts.

Delegations of member countries will sum up the results of the Committee's activity in 2013 and will approve its work programme for the year 2014.

The representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the Parliament of Ukraine, the National Institute for Strategic Studies of Ukraine under the President of Ukraine and from the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN Office in Geneva participate in the annual session of the Committee.
