On February 10, 2014 Mr. Yurii Klymenko, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine met with Mr. Michel Sidibé, the Executive Director of the Joined United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS).

Сurrent issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the UNAIDS were considered, in particular regarding its membership in the Coordinating Board - executive body of the Programme, starting from 2014.

The Executive Director of the UNAIDS praised the progress recently made by our country in the fight against HIV/AIDS. At the same time M.Sidibé urged the Ukrainian side to further exert concerted efforts to combat the epidemics, remaining  the leader in this area in the Eastern European region and demonstrating that this dangerous decease can be put under control.
