The session of the General Council chaired by H.E.Shahid Bashir, Permanent representative of Pakistan to WTO, takes place at the World Trade Organization in Geneva on 9 October 2013. The Agenda includes the review of the Report by the Chairman of the Trade Negotiations Committee, Director General R.Azevedo and a list of organizational issues with regard to the preparation process to the 9-th Ministerial Conference (December 2013, Bali).

During the meeting, R.Azevedo informed participants on the results of high-level meetings, held within the framework of the preparation process to the Conference and about the course of negotiations on three major groups of  issues - trade facilitation, development and agriculture.

The participation of the delegation of Ukraine in the work of the session is provided by the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva.
