On June 14, 2013 within the frameworks of 102-th (special) session of the International Organization for Migration Council Mr. William L. Swing was re-elected for a second five-year term as Director General of the International Organization for Migration.

Considering the fact that Mr. W. Swing was the only candidate on the IOM Director General post he was elected by consensus among member-states of IOM.

Mr. William Swing was elected first as IOM Director General in June 2008.
