The fifth session of the Team of Specialists on Public-Private Partnerships of the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Integration of the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) holds its work on 5-6 February, 2013 in Geneva, in which are participating delegations of the country Members of the Committee and representatives of international economic and financial organizations both intergovernmental and non-governmental as well as those of businesses and science.
During the first day's work within the substantive segment of the 5th session of the Team of Specialists on PPP the discussions will be structured around the activities of the UNECE International PPP Centre of Excellence and its affiliated sectoral PPP Specialist Centres, with a special emphasis on the work in identifying PPP excellence in health.
Among the activities of the UNECE International PPP Centre of Excellence that will be discussed are those related to the National PPP Readiness Assessment undertaken in a number of countries with economies in transition namely in Belarus, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Moreover, delegates of country members will sum up the results of the work of the Team of Specialists on Public-Private Partnerships in 2012 and will discuss the implementation plan for the work envisaged for 2013 and make proposals for the programme of work in the next biennium 2014-2015.
The experts of the Ukrainian PPP Support Centre, of the National Institute for Strategic Studies and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN Office in Geneva participate in the fifth session of the Team of Specialists on PPP.
