Universal Health Coverage Day, which is celebrated annually on 12 December, gives us an opportunity to remember the importance of ensuring that everyone, everywhere has access to quality essential health services without suffering financial hardship.

On the occasion of this Day, WHO in Ukraine with the support from the EU, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and United States Agency for International Development (USAID), presents the exhibition «Ukrainian Health and Care Workers: always at your side». It was created to emphasize the importance of universal health coverage and pay tribute to the efforts of health professionals.

Health workers are the frontline defenders of our lives and health. Today, they are at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19. In appreciation and gratitude for their unwavering dedication in combating the pandemic and beyond, the year 2021 has been designated by WHO as the International Year of Health and Care Workers.

Offering to your attention this exhibition in a virtual format, which displays the stories of several health and care workers from across Ukraine, showcasing their experience, highlighting the challenges they face, and celebrating their successes.
