At the 7^st Session of the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Integration of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, that started its work in Geneva on the 5^th December 2012, the Innovation Performance Review of Ukraine prepared by independent international experts with close participation of Ukrainian specialists has been presented and discussed.

 Discussions were opened by Mr. S.Alkalaj, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and Mr. M.Maimeskul, Permanent representative of Ukraine to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

 During the constructive discussion the participants deliberated the main aspects of all components of the national innovation system of Ukraine in noting both positive achievements and drawbacks in the innovation field as well as recommendations contained in the Review to the Government of Ukraine for further development and improvement of innovation policy in Ukraine.
