On July, 31, 2012 the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva opened the 3rd part of its annual session under the Presidency of the Permanent Representative of France, Ambassador Jean-Hugues Simon-Michel.

The Conference will continue the deliberations on the issues of the schedule of activities adopted under the Ethiopian Presidency, as well as on possible ways to revitalize the CD.

The Conference will also conduct several rounds of discussions to prepare the report on its work in 2012, to be submitted for approval by the 67th session of the UN General Assembly.

The third session of the CD-2012 ends on September, 14, 2012.
