From 4 to 7 November 2019, the Fifth European Forest week “Forêt 2019” is taking place in Geneva, in which framework the joint 77th session of the  Committee on Forests and the Forest Industry of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the 40th session of the European Forestry Commission of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) are being held under a joint theme "Forests and the Circular Economy". 

The participants discuss forest policy developments at the global and regional levels, taking into account the outcomes of the 14th session of the UN Forum on Forests, regional input to the UN Strategic Plan on Forests, as well as a role of forest industry in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The representatives of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine in Geneva participate in the work of the Fifth European Forest Week.
