On March 24-28, 2018 the 138th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) is taking place in Geneva.
It is attended by parliamentarians from more than 140 IPU member states as well as representatives of a number of international, including non-governmental, organizations. Ukraine at the forum is represented by the parliamentary delegation led by its Head, the People's Deputy of Ukraine, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Foreign Affairs Borys Tarasyuk. The Ukrainian parliamentary delegation also includes People's Deputies of Ukraine Mariia Ionova, Leonid Iemets, Olena Sotnyk, Oleksii Poroshenko and Aliona Shkrum.
The parliamentary delegation of Ukraine takes part in the work of four Standing Committees of the Assembly (on the United Nations Affairs; on Peace and International Security; Democracy and Human Rights; Sustainable Development, Finance and Trade), of the Forum of Young Parliamentarians and the Forum of Women Parliamentarians, as well as in the general debates of the Assembly on the subject: "Strengthening the global regime for migrants and refugees: the need for evidence-based policy solutions".
