On October 30 - November 2, 2017 the 38^th session of the Standing Committee on the Law of Trademarks, Industrial Designs and Geographical Indications of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is taking place in Geneva.

Participants of the session are discussing the law and practice in the area of industrial designs and geographical indications and WIPO country members' proposals on procedures and approaches to the protection of country names against registration and use as trademarks as well as the Report of the Committee's 37^th Session.

The representatives of the State enterprise "Ukrainian Intellectual Property Institute" as well as of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine in Geneva participate in the work of the session.
