On February 21-24, 2017 the 79^th session of the Inland Transport Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) is taking place in Geneva, which the delegation of Ukraine headed by Volodymyr Omelyan, Minister of  Infrastructure of Ukraine attends.

At the end of today's meeting "The Ministerial Resolution on embracing the new era for sustainable inland transport and mobility" has been signed.

In the course of the session delegations of member countries will sum up the results of the Committee's and its subsidiary bodies' activities in 2016 and will approve its Programme of work for 2017-2018.

         In the framework of the participation in the said event V.Omelyan, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, conducted meetings with V.Bulc, European Commissioner  on mobility and transport and with A. Al-Sulaiti, Minister of transport and communications of Qatar during which issues of further development of bilateral cooperation in the transport sector have been discussed.
