Interactive dialogue on the human rights situation in Ukraine was held in Geneva
On 22 March in the framework of the 31st session of the UN Human Rights Council the Interactive dialogue regarding 13th report of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on the human rights situation in Ukraine was held. The report`s conclusions were presented by Ivan Šimonović, Assistant UN Secretary-General for Human Rights. 41 speakers, including representatives of the European Union, 32 countries, the Council of Europe and NGOs as well as Ukrainian Ombudsperson V.Lutkovska participated in the dialogue.
R.Chubarov, the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, People’s deputy of Ukraine in his speech on behalf of Ukraine highlighted massive human rights violations in Crimea committed by the Russian occupying authorities, as well as drew attention to the Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on the shameful Russian “court decision” on trumped-up case of Nadiya Savchenko.
