On October 27, 2014 the twentieth session of the Human Rights Council Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group commenced its work in Geneva’s Palais des Nations. UPR serves as a key mechanism of the Council that regularly reviews all the UN Member States’ commitments in the sphere of human rights.
Agenda of the two-week session includes reviews of 14 countries: Italy, El Salvador, Gambia, Plurinational State of Bolivia, Fiji, San Marino, Kazakhstan, Angola, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Madagascar, Iraq, Slovenia, Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The delegation of Ukraine represented by the Permanent Mission of Ukraine in Geneva participates in the work of the session.
