On October 20-24, 2014 the 12^th session of the Working Group on the Legal Development of the Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks of the World Intellectual Property Organization is taking place in Geneva.

Participants of the session are discussing proposed Amendments to the Common Regulations Under the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks and the Protocol Relating to that Agreement, Proposals for the Introduction of the Record of Division or Merger Concerning an International Registration of Marks, as well as those to Freeze the Operation of Articles 6(2), (3) and (4) of the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks and of the Protocol Relating Thereto.

The experts from the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine as well as representatives from the Permanent Mission of Ukraine in Geneva participate in the 12^th session of the Working Group.
